2019 - Happy Saturnalia
Greetings loved ones! Cookiechick and Squirrel Girl have been hard at work creating goodies for your holiday pleasure. Cookiechick and Squirrel Girl are truly a dynamic duo now working together to leap tall sheet trays in a single bound and dip cookies faster than an oven timer. We even finished early this year and cookies went out on Christmas Eve, so expect them a couple of days earlier than usual.

Since we retired Grandma Gertie cookies last year, Eris has wanted to choose a permanent replacement for them. This year, she chose Thumbprints. We have an assembly line process to make them quick as a wink.
My new cookie this year is my own creation - something I'm calling Chocolate Mint Marvels. Eris' pick is nominally called Apple Spice Oatmeal Cookies, but we like to refer to them as Apple Crack. Returning favorites include Mexican Wedding Cakes and Chewy Gingerbread Cookies. Also, there is a special delivery going out to Cookicheck's favorite niece Amelia - a couple of gluten-free cookies.
On the non-cookie front, the code has been cracked in the mystery in the of the Cox family disease. Randal and Eris have improved their symptoms tremendously with diet and supplements and have been able to go off medications. Randal and I are now writing a case report that we hope to get published sometime soon, but first, we need IRB approval. I'll keep everyone updated on the progress.
Also check out some of the tree loot, especially the molecular models Eris made for me. They are serotonin and glucose, two of the most important molecules in the pathway we have worked out for the Cox family curse. The atoms are wooden spheres painted with hydrodip. She also made a dark, batman-themed dirty pour painting. And we never get tired of funny teeshirts at this house (we started #teeshirtsunday).
