Thumbprints
An obvious pairing with the Penis Cookies.
Ingredients
| 1 cup | shortening |
| 2/3 cup | brown sugar |
| 2 | egg yolks |
| 2 tsp | vanilla extract |
| 2 cups | flour |
| 1/2 tsp |
salt |
| 3/4 cups | chopped nuts (pecans) |
| 2 | egg whites |
| red currant jelly |
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Cream together the shortening and sugar. Add egg yolks, vanilla. Add flour and salt.
- Roll into balls and then roll in egg whites (slightly beaten). Dip into finely chopped nuts.
- Bake for 5 minutes.
- Remove from oven and make thumbprints impressions.
- Bake 8 minutes more.
- Cool and add red currant jelly to the thumbprint impression.
